Broken formatting is most of the time a result of the tool not mapping fields properly or the tool that is used for names, notes, or phone numbers that mishandles characters. A stable VCF to CSV Converter should be able to keep every field, even custom labels, aligned. I had the same problem when I tried to convert VCF to CSV from my Android backup. What fixed it for me was OSTtoPST VCF to CSV Converter, mostly because it first loads the whole contact structure and then allows users to preview everything before saving. Furthermore, it is also very good at conforming to Unicode standards, thus no accented character is getting corrupted. If you're dealing with a messy CSV file, then you should consider using a tool that is specially designed for accurate field mapping. |
