Outlook Compact Now Option Not Reducing PST Size: Any Suggestions?

I am facing an issue with Outlook 2019. I tried to compact my PST file using the “Compact Now” option, but it does not seem to reduce the file size at all. I have already deleted a lot of unnecessary emails and emptied the Deleted Items folder, yet the PST file size remains almost the same. Has anyone experienced this problem? Are there any effective ways or workarounds to properly reduce the size of a PST file when the compact option does not work?
